Earlier this week, I discovered a facebook group entitled You know you went to Southern Adventist University when…. Surprisingly, I have found many of the posts rather amusing, while others constitute a very clear reminder of the issues with the so-called education at ultra-conservative schools like Southern. I suggest a new name for the group: reasons not to go to Southern or other Sharia Christian Schools seems to fit well. That is, if you need reasons beyond Southern’s lousy academics.
