Giovanni Hashimoto works with progressive organizations and Democratic candidates to develop and deploy cutting-edge digital strategies.
After a number of internships in various facets of campaigns, he got his start in professional politics as communications associate at Ready for Hillary PAC. He went on to work as press fellow at the Progressive Change Campaign Committee before taking a position as digital director on a high-profile mayoral campaign in one of America's largest cities where he devised and led an effective data-driven program. Since then, he has worked with numerous high-profile candidates, organizations, and causes across the country as a consultant.
Giovanni was born in Tokyo, Japan. He grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, before enrolling at Pacific Union College (PUC) in California. At PUC, he became a leader in his chapter of College Democrats eventually serving in national and statewide communications roles with the College Democrats of America and the California Young Democrats, respectively. He is currently a student in the political science and economics program at Universita degli Studi di Milano (University of Milan) in Italy. Outside of politics, his interests include traveling the world, playing soccer, eating vegan food, and drinking copious amounts of coffee and wine. He loves America, sushi, progressive politics, boat shoes, and J.Crew. He uses the Oxford comma.
